Márquez, primera referència en l’arrencada del Test MotoGP™

Marc Márquez (Repsol Honda Team) ja ha llançat el guant per al curs 2013 en encapçalar la taula de temps fins a migdia en el Test Oficial que ha començat avui a Sepang. Valentino Rossi (Yamaha Factory Racing) i Dani Pedrosa segueixen de prop.

L’amenaça de la pluja no s’ha arribat a materialitzar i des de primera hora un nombrós grup de pilots ha sortit a la pista del traçat malai. A les 10:30, totes les motos de la categoria reina estaven ja rodant, incloent-hi els dos pilots provadors de Honda i als dos de Yamaha.

Pujat al seu RC213V per tercera vegada, Marc Márquez ha acumulat ja un important nombre de voltes (42) durant el matí mentre segueix adaptant-se a la muntura de MotoGP ™. Un procés aparentment satisfactori ja que a les 15:00 (hora local) figurava en primera posició del full de temps amb un crono de 2: 01.357. El seu company d’equip Dani Pedrosa es situava en tercera posició a només 3 dècimes.

Yamaha, que ha portat a aquest primer assaig de l’any un nou xassís i un nou motor amb el qual espera aconseguir una millor acceleració a la sortida dels revolts, ha vist com el retornat Valentino Rossi se situava ràpidament entre els més ràpids. A mitja jornada, el múltiple campió italià figurava 2n a poc més de dues dècimes Márquez. El seu company d’equip Jorge Lorenzo, que ha sumat 30 girs en aquesta primera part del dia, s’ha situat provisionalment en quarta posició amb un registre a menys de dues dècimes de Rossi.

Stefan Bradl (LCR Honda MotoGP) que està rodant amb una RC213V amb les mateixes especificacions que la HRC de què va disposar a València l’any passat, ha establert el cinquè temps més ràpid en una jornada dedicada a treballar l’electrònica i la suspensió. L’alemany té previst centrar-se posteriorment en els frens Nissin, l’únic component que difereix de les muntures de fàbrica. Bradl precedeix a Álvaro Bautista (Go & Fun Honda Gresini), que continua posant el focus en la recerca de la millor posada a punt de les suspensions Showa.

Cal Crutchlow (Monster Yamaha Tech 3), que també compta amb nous xassís i motor de Yamaha, ha estat setè per davant del pilot provador d’HRC Kosuke Akiyoshi i del provador de Yamaha Katsuyuki Nakasuga. Nicky Hayden ha iniciat la seva nova campanya amb el Ducati Team signant el 10è millor temps en aquesta primera part de la sessió, precedint al pilot provador de Yamaha Wataru Yoshikawa.
El debutant Bradley Smith (Yamaha Tech 3) segueix prenent-li el pols a la seva muntura de MotoGP ia mitja jornada figurava en 12a posició, a uns 2,3 segons de Márquez i per davant d’Andrea Dovizioso (Ducati Team) i del duo del Power Electronics Aspar Team, Aleix Espargaró i Randy De Puniet.

Ben Spies (Ignite Pramac Racing Team) s’ha donat un respir després d’unes primeres hores d’activitat a la pista durant el matí. El texà acusa encara algunes molèsties físiques per la lesió que es va produir al lligament de l’espatlla dreta després d’una caiguda ocorreguda en aquest mateix escenari, durant el Gran Premi celebrat a l’octubre passat. Spies se situa provisionalment en 16a posició i precedint al seu company d’equip, Andrea Iannone.

Darrere d’ells prenen posicions Takumi Takahashi, pilot provador d’HRC, seguit per Karel Abraham (Cardion AB Motoracing), Yonny Hernández (Paul Bird Motorsport), Hiroshi Aoyama (Avintia Blusens) i Claudio Corti (NGM Mobile Forward Racing). La sessió ha vist també l’estrena de Bryan Staring (Go & Fun Honda Gresini). El txec Lukas Pesek (Came IodaRacing Project) s’alternarà amb el seu company d’equip Danilo Petrucci al manillar de l’única unitat de què disposa de moment l’equip amb la nova centraleta electrònica Magneti Marelli. Héctor Barberá (Avintia Blusens), Michael Laverty (Paul Bird Motorsport) i Colin Edwards (NGM Mobile Forward Racing) completen el grup.

The Repsol Honda team has a great start

The Repsol Honda team has started the 2013 preseason in the best possible way, with Dani Pedrosa and Marc Márquez finishing the first day in first and third position, respectively.

After a long winter break, Pedrosa and Márquez were willing to go out on track with their Repsol Honda RC213V and start their test program. The rain forecasts have not been Fulfilled and the pilots present in the first tests of 2013 have been able to enjoy a full day of tests in the Sepang International Circuit, where yesterday the team members placed a buquet of flowers next to the memorial plaque in memory of Marco Simoncelli.
