Full activity at the start of the 2nd day of Test in Jerez

Corti and Cortese lead the time sheet of their respective categories in the Official Test of Jerez resumed this Tuesday with a combined morning session for Moto2 ™ and Moto3 ™ that concludes at 15.50.

Claudio Corti (Italtrans Racing Team), who finished yesterday with the third best time of the day, is confirmed among the fastest of Moto2 when placing his Kalex in first position of the time table with a record of 1.42.548 in the absence of something more than one hour for the end of the joint morning session for the Moto2 ™ and Moto3 ™ categories.

Only 9 thousandths behind Corti and in evident progression, Marc Márquez (CatalunyaCaixa Repsol) occupies the provisional 2nd place in this second day of practice. The current runner-up of Moto2, who yesterday recorded the third fastest time in his first confrontation this year with the rest of the riders of the category, has completed 24 laps until 2 o’clock in the afternoon, with a better record of 1.42.557 that reduces notably his best time of Monday (1.43.080).

Dissatisfied with the fourth place signed yesterday, Pol Espargaró has not been slow in giving a boost to his classification in the first hours of work this Tuesday. The pilot of the Pons 40 HP Tuenti now occupies the 3rd position of the time table with a record of 1.42.656. Behind the motorcyclist of Granollers are several of the strong men throughout the preseason, the Swiss Thomas Luthi (Interwetten Paddock) – author yesterday of the best time of the day – Mika Kallio (VDS Racing Team) – the last one to roll by below 1.43- and Esteve Rabat, located at 0.528s. of the first.

Taaki Nakagami (Italtrans Racing Team), Alex De Angelis (NGM Mobile Forward Racing), Scott Redding, (VDS Racing Team) and Angel Rodriguez (Desguaces La Torre SAG) also provisionally rank among the ten fastest in the category.

In Moto3, Sandro Cortese moves from the first position of the classification to the young Italian rider Romano Fenati (Team Italia FMI) who yesterday gave the surprise to head the timesheet of the new world category. The German Red Bull KTM Ajo driver registered a better time of 1.48.201 until 2:00 pm, slower at the moment than the one established by Fenati on the first day (1.47.414). For its part, the Italian, who is the current European champion of 125GP- now occupies the 2nd position with a time to only 277 thousandths of the first.

Danny Kent (Red Bull KTM Ajo), Miguel Oliveira (Estrella Galicia 0’0) and Maverick Viñales (Avintia Racing Moto3) are placed next, separated between 2 and 5 tenths of Cortese. The Australian debutant Arthur Sissis (Red Bull KTM Ajo) underlines the power of the KTM to stand in 6th place ahead of Hector Faubel, Niklas Ajo, Alan Techer and Luís Salom.

Niccoló Antonelli (San Carlo Honda Gresini Moto3) has starred in one of the few incidents of the morning, with a fall paid without physical consequences.

The combined session of this Tuesday will conclude at 15.50 and then there will be an exclusive round for Moto3 (from 16.00 to 16.50) and another for the Moto2 members (from 5:00 to 6:00).
