Honda Racing Corporation has officially announced that Dani Pedrosa and Marc Márquez will be its two factory riders in 2013 and 2014.

Pedrosa, who is running second in the MotoGP ™ World Championship just as he reaches the middle of the season, extends his contract for two more years with Honda, the brand he has been with throughout his career since his debut in the World Championship. in 2001. The Barcelona driver was three times world champion in the lower categories (2003 in 125cc and 2004 and 2005 in 250cc), made his debut in MotoGP in 2006, obtaining the title of Rookie of the Year and the fifth position in the championship that year. In addition, he has two runners-up in the MotoGP world and two third places. After celebrating his first victory of the 2012 season last weekend in Germany, Pedrosa is undoubtedly one of the contenders for the title of the queen category.

Marc Márquez, born on February 17, 1993, will make the leap to the premier category of the Honda factory team with only 20 years. Already recognized as one of the world’s greatest young talents, the Cervera driver has signed a two-year contract with HRC. Márquez was the 125cc world champion in 2010, runner-up in the season of his Moto2 debut and currently leads the Moto2 general with a 43-point lead.
