The fight between Thomas Luthi and Marc Márquez in the Moto2 race culminated with the overtaking of the CatalunyaCaixa Repsol rider at the start of the last lap and the departure of the Swiss from the Interwetten Paddock. The first triumph of the Lleida season has not been without controversy. Márquez himself went to meet his rival after the race to explain and both were called by Race Direction and received a warning, Márquez for a maneuver considered in the limit of acceptable and the Swiss for hitting the motorcycle of the Spanish when he recriminated overtaking once the finish line has been crossed.
